Lighting Installation in Denver, CO
BES installs lighting across Denver, including the older homes where rooms were never wired for a ceiling fixture in the first place.
Lighting installation in Denver
Denver has the oldest housing we regularly work in, and it creates a lighting problem newer homes do not have: plenty of rooms in Wash Park, Congress Park, and Park Hill have no ceiling box at all. Lighting was done with floor and table lamps on switched outlets, and adding a proper fixture means running new cable through plaster and lath rather than simply swapping what is there.
That work is very doable, but it is real work and it should be quoted after someone has looked at the space. We also frequently find the existing circuit is already carrying more than it should, so part of the job is checking capacity before adding to it.
Beyond that we do the usual: recessed LED retrofits, kitchen and under-cabinet lighting, and exterior and security lighting. Denver permits through Denver Development Services, which is slower than surrounding jurisdictions, and we plan for that rather than being surprised by it.

Yes. Many older Denver homes were lit with lamps on switched outlets and have no ceiling box. Adding a fixture means running new cable through plaster, which is real work but very doable. We quote it after looking.
It can, which is why we check the existing load first. In older homes the circuit is sometimes already carrying more than it should, and we tell you that before adding to it.
