About Our Heat Pump Installation & Service

Heat pumps run your heat and your AC off the same outdoor unit. Today's cold-climate models hold full capacity well below zero, which means a single piece of equipment can replace both your furnace and your AC on most Colorado homes.

BES installs Mitsubishi, Bosch, Trane, and Carrier heat pumps. We size every job with a real Manual J load calculation, factor in altitude derate, and handle the panel work, line set, and Xcel rebate paperwork. If your home still needs a backup heat source for the coldest nights, we set up a dual-fuel pairing with a high-efficiency gas furnace so you always have the right heat at the right cost.

Xcel and federal rebates are stacking right now. We walk every customer through what they qualify for before signing anything.

Heat Pump Installation & Service

Every job includes the following - no hidden add-ons, no upcharges.

01

Cold-Climate Models

Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Bosch IDS, Trane XV, Carrier Infinity heat pumps rated for full capacity at -5°F and below. Built for Colorado nights.

02

Ducted or Ductless

Whole-home ducted systems replace your furnace and AC. Ductless mini-splits cool finished basements, additions, and offices without new ductwork.

03

Real Load Calculations

Manual J load calc accounts for altitude derate, window orientation, and air sealing. No "guess the size" rules of thumb. You get the right unit, not just a bigger unit.

04

Xcel & Federal Rebates

Xcel offers up to $2,800 on qualifying cold-climate heat pumps. Federal IRA credits stack on top. We file the paperwork as part of the install.

05

Dual-Fuel Pairing

If your home needs backup heat, we pair the heat pump with a high-efficiency gas furnace so the cheapest fuel runs at every outdoor temperature.

06

Electrical Work Included

New disconnect, dedicated circuit, and panel work all handled in-house. No coordinating between an HVAC company and a separate electrician.

Heat Pump Installation & Service FAQs

Yes, cold-climate heat pumps (Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Bosch IDS, Trane XV) are rated for full heating capacity down to -5°F and continue to produce heat well below that. The Front Range only sees a few nights a year cold enough to challenge a properly sized cold-climate unit. We can also pair with a gas furnace as backup if you want belt-and-suspenders.

A whole-home ducted cold-climate heat pump typically runs $14,000–$22,000 installed before rebates. After Xcel rebates ($1,000–$2,800 depending on equipment) and federal IRA credits (up to $2,000), most homeowners net out at $10,000–$17,000. Ductless mini-splits for a single zone start around $5,500 installed.
